Invitation Ⅰ

Dear AFORE 2025 Participants,

It is my distinct honor, as President of the Korean Society for New and Renewable Energy (KSNRE), to warmly welcome you to the 14th Asia-Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy (AFORE 2025), taking place on the beautiful island of Jeju, Republic of Korea, from November 4th to 8th, 2025. Hosting this esteemed international gathering in such a remarkable setting is both a privilege and a pleasure.

AFORE 2025 is dedicated to fostering an outstanding academic and professional platform under the pivotal theme of “Empowering Sustainable Innovation via Intelligent Energy”. As carbon neutrality becomes a defining global imperative, the importance of sustainable green technologies and industries continues to grow exponentially. We are witnessing an unprecedented era of energy transformation and green innovation. Over the past two decades, global investments in clean energy and energy transition have surged fiftyfold, driving remarkable progress in solar and wind power, power grids, electrification, hydrogen, CCUS, and energy storage—areas at the very heart of KSNRE’s mission.

In today’s rapidly evolving landscape, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) have become essential pillars of corporate responsibility. The dynamic growth of the global renewable energy market brings both new opportunities and urgent challenges, underscoring the need for continued academic and technological advancement. It is the collective expertise of leaders from academia, industry, and government that will propel the energy transition forward.

Addressing these complex challenges demands robust international collaboration. To this end, AFORE 2025 will facilitate meaningful exchanges and partnerships with distinguished experts and leading organizations such as the KEA, NREL, Wood Mackenzie and Renewable Energy Institute. The conference will encompass a comprehensive range of topics, including solar, wind, bio, thermal, and ocean energy, as well as advancements in materials, fabrication processes, modules, systems, and energy-related policies—spanning RPS, REC, RE100, carbon neutrality, net zero, and the Green New Deal.

We are confident that AFORE 2025 will fulfill your diverse expectations and needs. The global pursuit of green growth and a low-carbon society has ushered in a new era for renewable energy technology, marked by significant investment and technical breakthroughs. This open forum will serve as a catalyst for sharing innovative ideas and accelerating progress in renewable energy research and development. For those interested in publishing their work, we invite you to submit manuscripts to SCIE-listed journals, following our recommended guidelines and peer review processes.

AFORE 2025 stands as a testament to the Asia-Pacific community’s unwavering commitment to renewable energy. I wholeheartedly invite you to participate actively in this conference. Together, we can shape the future of renewable energy and move our world closer to a sustainable, carbon-neutral future.

Thank you, and I look forward to a memorable and productive conference with each of you.

With warm regards,

2025. 11. 4.

Invitation Ⅱ

Dear AFORE 2025 Participants,

It is my great pleasure and honor, as the Chair of the Organizing Committee, to welcome you all to the 14th Asia-Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy (AFORE 2025), to be held from November 4th to 8th, 2025, on the beautiful island of Jeju, Republic of Korea.

Building on more than two decades of leadership by the Korean Society for New and Renewable Energy (KSNRE), AFORE has become a trusted platform for advancing regional dialogue and cooperation in renewable and sustainable energy. As we convene again in 2025, the global momentum toward carbon neutrality and green innovation has never been stronger. In this pivotal era of transition, AFORE 2025 aims to serve not only as a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, but also as a launchpad for collaboration, action, and policy impact across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

This year’s forum will bring together thought leaders from academia, industry, government, and public interest stakeholders under the unifying theme of “Empowering Sustainable Innovation via Intelligent Energy.” This theme reflects our belief that the fusion of energy technologies with digital innovation, including artificial intelligence (AI), is essential to achieving sustainable transformation. At the heart of this transition lies renewable energy—not only as a clean alternative, but as the central axis around which other energy systems must be intelligently integrated. In an era where decarbonization is a global imperative, we emphasize that technological innovation is the engine driving lasting impact.

It is our sincere hope that the synergy of diverse disciplines—ranging from solar and wind to hydrogen, energy storage, and digital grid integration—will foster bold new ideas and strategic partnerships to accelerate our shared transition to a sustainable future.

Organizing an international forum of this scale requires the dedication and cooperation of many individuals and institutions. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Organizing Committee and the Program Committee, as well as to our sponsors and all partner organizations, for their invaluable contributions. I also extend a warm welcome to all participants joining us from around the world—your presence is what truly gives this forum its meaning.

As we gather in Jeju, a symbol of natural beauty and ecological value, I hope AFORE 2025 will be a source of inspiration, insight, and renewed commitment for everyone involved in building a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

Thank you, and I look forward to a successful and memorable conference with each of you.

Invitation Ⅲ

Dear AFORE 2025 Participants,

On behalf of the Program Committee, it is my great honor to announce that the 14th Asia-Pacific Forum on Renewable Energy (AFORE 2025) will be held in Jeju, South Korea, in November 2025. AFORE 2025 is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a carbon-neutral society by addressing key trends in the field of renewable and sustainable energy. These include the rapid expansion of solar and wind power, the advancement of energy storage technologies, and the integration of smart grids and AI-based operational systems.

Amid the ongoing climate crisis and growing concerns over energy security, the global energy landscape is undergoing a profound transformation. Notably, the share of low-carbon electricity surpassed 40% globally for the first time last year. In addition to solar and wind energy, technologies such as clean hydrogen, bioenergy, marine and geothermal energy, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and next-generation storage systems are reaching transition points of innovation and deployment. A convergent approach—combining digital innovation, AI-driven forecasting and grid operations, and green hydrogen integration—is increasingly essential to realizing a sustainable energy future.

AFORE 2025 will explore not only these technological developments but also the policy frameworks, institutional strategies, and regulatory reforms necessary to support the widespread adoption of renewable energy sources. I believe your valuable expertise and insights will make a significant contribution to the success of this forum. Your engagement in presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions will help elevate the depth and breadth of the conversations.

Furthermore, the forum will serve as a vital platform for fostering cooperation among Asia-Pacific countries, sharing best practices in technology development, and identifying actionable, locally adapted strategies. By bringing together stakeholders from research, industry, academia, and government, AFORE 2025 aims to catalyze meaningful progress toward a carbon-free future.

I warmly invite you to attend AFORE 2025 and lend your voice to this global dialogue. Your participation will not only enrich the discussions but also inspire actionable solutions that drive real-world impact. I look forward to welcoming you to Jeju, South Korea.

2025. 11. 4.
